Amica Insurance announced that it now offers a mobile app for Android and BlackBerry smartphones, in addition to the iPhone.

“Having our mobile app available on the three most popular smartphone platforms is one more way we offer great service to our customers,” says Lisa St. Onge, assistant vice president in Amica's claims department. “This new app means most of our customers can now access their accounts, file claims, contact our roadside assistance program, and even browse recommended repair shops directly from their mobile phones.”

The app also has features that non-customers can use, including the home inventory feature, which offers a way to keep track of personal belongings, categorize items by price and purchase date, and organize them by room, St. Onge explains.

The app allows users to:

• View claims status

• Schedule maintenance reminders for auto and home

• Request emergency repair services

• Access helpful accident checklists

• Contact Amica instantly

Amica's app was developed by Five Mobile, with company headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Five Mobile specializes in creating customized mobile products and solutions for its customers and worked with Amica to develop this app for the three smartphones.
