ISO announces the release of DriverSafe Plus, a service from iiX, a provider of driver records to helpemployers and their insurers actively manage and trackdriver-related risks.

Commercial insurers will find value in DriverSafe Plus, as theservice can be used to easily incorporate an insurer's underwritingguidelines directly into a customer's risk management program.

DriverSafe Plus permits employers to identify risks found on thedriver records of employees operating their vehicles. It alsooffers pragmatic analytical tools to uncover and address thoserisks before they present serious issues, including potentialliability.

"In today's business environment, risk managers can no longerrely on record checks once or twice a year to manage driver-relatedrisks," says Sean Quillivan, general manager of iiX. "Our serviceprovides focused risk management analysis of driver record datausing charts, graphs, and tables to highlight various factorsreflecting potential driver risk. DriverSafe Plus provides theability to quickly identify and analyze risk factors for aparticular driver or for a fleet of drivers as a whole."

DriverSafe Plus permits managers of drivers to focus on theirown particular business needs. For example, the use of scoringallows managers with multistate fleets to measure driver activityagainst an objective standard because the scoring tool is designedto eliminate inconsistencies in reporting across variousjurisdictions. In addition, in states permitting active driverrecord monitoring, iiX's DriverAdvisor monitoring service willalert employers when a monitored driver has had a violation oradverse change in driving record.

Employers will know quickly whether the driverrecords of current or prospective employees meet the insurabilityrequirements of their policy. Statistical information can beprovided to the insurer to ensure MVRs are being used by theirinsureds as an effective risk management tool.

DriverSafe Plus is available through iiX's ExpressNet onlinesolution.

DriverSafe Plus also acts as an electronic file cabinet wherecompanies can securely store information about their drivers,within regulatory constraints. In addition, monthly summary reportsallow for easy month-to-month comparisons and provide fulldocumentation.
