Amica appAmica Insurance has teamedup with FiveMobile to develop a mobile app that is making theclaims process more accessible to customers.

“This means most of our customers can now access their accounts,file claims, contact our Roadside Assistance Program, and evenbrowse recommended repair shops directly from their mobile phones,”said Lisa St. Onge, assistant vice president in Amica's claimsdepartment.

The technology provides customers with the most currentinformation about their claim, and allows them to perform anynumber of tasks associated with the claims process. Users can doeverything from requesting emergency repair services to schedulingmaintenance reminders directly from their phones.

Access to most of the features is limited to Amica customers.However, there are some useful functions available tonon-customers, as well. The home inventory feature is available tothe public, and it offers users a way to keep track of andcategorize their belongings from room to room, in case they need tofile a claim for an item later. The app can be downloaded for theiPhone or any of the Android or Blackberry smartphones.
