Michael F. Consedine has taken over as Pennsylvania's insurance commissioner.

He was appointed Jan. 13 by then Gov.-elect Tom Corbett. Gov. Corbett was inaugurated Jan. 18, the same day Mr. Consedine assumed responsibilities at the insurance department.
