American International Group could be looking to sell AIG Rail Services, the company's rail car subsidiary based in Chicago, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
The Journal report cites only "people familiar with the matter," and an AIG spokesman told NU Online News Service that the company is not commenting.
The Journal said it is not known what price AIG is seeking. It said AIG Rail's assets have a book value of "roughly $660 million."
