A New York state judge ruled that former American International Group Chief Executive Maurice "Hank" Greenberg was liable for damages on a reinsurance contract that the state's attorney general said helped the insurer hide losses.
On Friday, both the New York Times and Reuters reported that New York State Supreme Court Justice Charles E. Ramos also found former AIG Chief Financial Officer Howard Smith liable on the transaction that involved Capco Reinsurance Co.
