Putting an end to about five years of litigation, a federaljudge in Connecticut has given her final approval of a $72.5million settlement involving The Hartford Financial ServicesGroup.

The suit was brought against the insurance group by more than21,600 people who alleged The Hartford underpaid personal injuryand workers' compensation claims by devising an alleged "scheme" tokeep the money within the insurance group.
