The impact is a positive one despite the outright effects on some carriers. Many insurers are interested in the environment of the near future post downturn and the opportunity it brings. The impression I have is that they are anxious about their ability to manage the next set of financial and social cycles. They recognize the critical need for infrastructure flexibility as well as the ability to manage and understand the data within their grasp. Insurer’s anxiety will ease when they know they’ve set the foundation for business agility.
