The Florida Senate has passed SB 2044 by a vote of 32 – 6, and the massive property insurance legislation now goes back to the Florida House. The Senate approved an amendment by Sen. Garrett Richter pertaining to a proposed rate increase for insurers, necessitating another vote by the House today, the final day of the regular 2010 session.
