American International Group said investment banker andrestructuring expert Henry S. Miller has been added to the companyboard of directors to help the debt-ridden company with itsrecovery.

"Henry will be a valuable addition as we continue to work torestore AIG as a strong company with solid businesses and to repaythe U.S. government for its financial assistance," said HarveyGolub, AIG board chairman, in a statement announcing Mr. Miller'selection yesterday.

Mr. Miller is chairman, managing director and co-founder ofMiller Buckfire & Co., LLC, an investment bank specializing incorporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equityfinancing, and strategic advisory services.

He is also chairman and chief executive officer of itsaffiliated business Marblegate Asset Management, an investmentmanager focused on investing in distressed credit and other specialsituation deep value opportunities.

Prior to founding Miller Buckfire, Mr. Miller was vice chairmanand a managing director at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where heserved as the global head of the firm's financial restructuringgroup.

Before that, Mr. Miller was managing director and head of boththe Restructuring Group and Transportation Industry Group ofSalomon Brothers.
