A second patent infringement lawsuit between two major claimtechnology providers has flared up a public relations battle aftera nearly two-year hiatus.
Accenture said it filed its most recent lawsuit in Delaware toexpand its overall case against Guidewire for patent infringement.Accenture said it now has two suits pending in the state. Bothallege Guidewire infringed upon three of its U.S. patents relatingto its Claim Components Solution, a Web-based suite of softwarecomponents for managing insurance claims. The first lawsuit was filed in December 2007.
