California firefighters made headway on containing the worst of the wildfires in the state as the number of dwellings destroyed in the blaze remained unchanged at more than 60.

The Station Fire, the largest of the active wildfires in the state, is now 38 percent contained, and has burned 144,743 acres, according to the Insurance Information Network of California (IINC).
