Conning Research and Consulting said it now foresees more favorable loss and combined ratio results for the property and casualty insurance sector this year.
But the Hartford, Conn.-based firm in its second-quarter 2009 forecast for 2009-2011 predicted the recession will suppress premium exposure growth and continue price decreases for most commercial lines in 2009.
