In an effort to more effectively coordinate and grow its Global Technical Services (GTS), Crawford & Company has created the position of senior vice president of GTS for the Americas. The company has elected Bill Johnstone to serve in this new capacity.

Johnstone, whose industry experience spans more than two decades, has worked as vice president of GTS in Canada since 2005. He will continue to lead those services directly in Canada in addition to being responsible for establishing policy, marketing, and business development for GTS in the remainder of the Americas. Thomas Carstens, vice president of GTS/Property Services/Marine Services for U.S. Property & Casualty, will continue to report directly to Philip Porter, senior vice president of U.S. Property & Casualty, and also report to Johnstone on a matrix basis.

GTS offers major incident claims handling for catastrophic and complex claims, high-value property and casualty claims, and specialist claims in a variety of industries worldwide. According to Kevin B. Frawley, chief executive officer, Property & Casualty - Americas, GTS is a major differentiator for Crawford worldwide in the high-end, complex loss adjusting market.
