Florida residents can now access an online Insurance Library,which provides "comprehensive information on financial andinsurance issues," Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sinkannounced.

"Our online Insurance Library is a convenient place forFloridians to find useful information when making informeddecisions regarding their family's insurance needs–somethingespecially important on the brink of hurricane season," said Ms.Sink.

Ms. Sink's announcement said the Insurance Library explainscommon terms used in an insurance policy, "allowing Floridians tobe better informed and prepared so they can get the coverage theyneed."

The library provides home insurance tips–including informationon coverages, agents, deductibles, cancellation/nonrenewals, andmore, Ms. Sink said.

It will also provide tips and definitions associated withinsurance topics such as disaster preparedness, rates, premiumfinance companies, workers' compensation, life insurance, healthinsurance, auto and travel insurance. Links to other Web sites andresources will also be provided.

The library is online at MyFloridaCFO.com.
