The National Conference of Insurance Legislators announced it has written Congress advising that proposals for financial services regulatory reform should involve state and federal regulators as equal partners.

NCOIL's letter concerning systemic risk regulation was directed to U.S. Senate Banking and House Financial Services Committee leaders and emphasized that there is a need for more structured communication between financial regulators.
