Toronto-based Catlin Canada Inc., the Canadian operating unit of Catlin Group Limited, announced that David Huebel joined the insurer yesterday as chief underwriting officer.
The firm said Mr. Huebel, formerly GCAN president and chief executive officer, will be based in the Toronto office and his job will be to implement the Catlin Group's underwriting plan for all lines of business across Canada.
The new CUO will work closely with the individual underwriting teams in the development of the existing portfolios as well as investigating the potential for new areas of business, the company said.
