Darius Grimes, of the Jacksonville, Fla.-based indoor environmental consulting firm SkyeTec, has been honored as a pioneer with a federal program that helps homeowners to strengthen houses against storm damage.
Mr. Grimes was given the 10-Year Legacy of Service Award for dedication to the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH).
FLASH is a Tallahassee, Fla.-based nonprofit that promotes awareness about strengthening homes and safeguarding families from natural disasters.
