WASHINGTON–The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America said today it spent more than $1 million on federal-level candidates in Tuesday's election, and 92 percent of them won their contests.
Moreover, said Robert Rusbuldt, IIABA president and chief executive officer, the victory rate for candidates supported by the IIABA could "actually increase a little bit, once the dust has settled."
Mr. Rusbuldt said that its political action committee, InsurPac, distributed more than $1.6 million in the 2008 campaign cycle.
