The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) said the Professional Farm Mutual Manager of the Year award has gone to Patrick Faga, president and chief executive officer of Central Iowa Mutual Insurance Association.

Mr. Faga was honored during NAMIC's annual convention in Philadelphia.

The Indianapolis-based association said the award recognizes the achievements of a farm mutual manager who exemplifies excellence in mutual insurance company management.

NAMIC said further that the recipient is selected based on excellence in marketing, administration and financial ability as well as his or her involvement in state and national associations and in the local community.

Under Mr. Faga's guidance, Story, Iowa-based Central Iowa Mutual Insurance Association has recorded a 21 percent increase in written premium, a 152 percent surplus increase and a 19 percent expense ratio reduction, NAMIC said.
