Progressive has teamed up with the Women's Motorcyclist Foundation (WMF), becoming the organization's official insurer, the Mayfield Village, Ohio-based auto insurer said.

The WMF has been promoting the safe enjoyment of motorcycling among women for 25 years and has dedicated itself to the fight against breast cancer, raising more than $2 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a global breast cancer movement to eliminate the disease.

As a sponsor, WMF and Progressive will team up to exhibit at California Bike Week, Oct. 24-26 in Pomona, Calif., and will partner at other events in 2009.
