The debate over whether to keep reforming the current state regulatory system or modify it with more direct federal involvement is about to heat up, as representatives from the American Insurance Association and the National Conference of Insurance Legislators face off this week in an online showdown.
AIA President Marc Racicot will duke it out with Rep. George Keiser of North Dakota, secretary of NCOIL, in a debate available free of charge to anyone who wants to sign up online, starting on Sept. 24, from 11 a.m.-to-Noon EST.
The debate, moderated by NU Editor In Chief Sam Friedman, is the main event of "Facing The Future Of Insurance," the second annual online conference and exposition produced by National Underwriter and two of its affiliated publications, Claims and Tech Decisions.
