Chicago-based insurance broker Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. said it has acquired Three Bridges, N.J.-based Herder-Tarricone Associates. Financial terms were not released.

Herder-Tarricone provides a range of corporate coverages, employee benefits and financial services products to both businesses and individual customers, Wells Fargo said.

According to the agency's Web site, the agency was founded in 1994 with the merger of Tarricone Insurance Services and Chester H. Herder & Son Inc. Tarricone began business in 1983 and Herder & Son was founded in 1932.

Agency principals Peter Tarricone, Chris Tarricone, Karen Tarricone and their team of eight will continue to be based in Hunterdon County, N.J., Wells Fargo said.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services is a subsidiary of San Francisco-based bank Wells Fargo.
