Louis Pietroluongo has been named as vice president, Business Relations for The Cambridge Group.

Mr. Pietroluongo had been with the New York State Insurance Department since 1998. He served in multiple roles during his time there, including deputy superintendent, first deputy superintendent, and acting superintendent. He created and implemented the New York State Insurance Department's Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan, which was used in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

He also served as a member of New York State's Disaster Preparedness Commission, Governor's Homeland Security Executive Council, and New York City's Office of Emergency Management Insurance Working Group. He represented the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and the New York State Insurance Department while serving as a member of the U.S. Treasury Department's Financial and Banking Information Infrastructure Committee. In this role he assisted the U.S. Treasury in developing its National Pandemic Flu Exercise of 2007, and was selected to present the insurance industry's preparedness findings at an International Pan Flu Symposium at the U.S. Treasury Department.
