Hamilton, Bermuda-based insurer XL Capital Ltd said it will host a conference next month to explore topics ranging from trade, economics and wealth, to ethics and humanitarianism.
The meeting, titled “Intelligent Change For A World At Risk,” will be held Oct. 2-3 in Washington.
Invited participants will hear from leading political, economic and social figures including former Secretary of State and retired Gen. Colin L. Powell; Carly Fiorina, chairman and chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard Company; former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell, D-Maine; Jeffrey Sachs, director of The Earth Institute and special advisor to the UN; and Sir Bob Geldof, political activist, Nobel Man of Peace award recipient and musician.
