St. Paul, Minn.-based The Travelers insurance company said it has joined the U.S. Green Building Council to expand its commitment to support both the company's and customers' actions toward environmentally responsible practices.
“In joining the USGBC, Travelers looks forward to utilizing the resources and intellectual capacity of the organization and its member companies to continue to support our innovative, companywide initiatives that support environmentally responsible business and personal life style practices,” Marlyss Gage, senior vice president of enterprise underwriting at Travelers, said in a statement.
The company said that over the course of the past few years it has enhanced existing and developed new products and services to encourage environmentally friendly behavior.
