James River Insurance Company and its affiliate James RiverManagement Company Inc. said Joseph F. Morris has been namedpresident and chief executive officer for the companies effectiveAug. 25.
He recently served as President and CEO of The PhiladelphiaContributionship. He was president of United America Indemnity,Ltd., a specialty insurance holding company and president and CEOof Penn-America Group, a specialty property and casualty companywith extensive excess and surplus lines writings. Prior to servingas president and CEO of Penn-America Group he was its chieffinancial officer.
Mr. Morris replaces Michael P. Kehoe who left the company inearly March to pursue other options, a company spokesman said.
