SunGard has acquired Delphi Technologies Limited, a Dublin-based provider of consulting services and managed professional services to Ireland's insurance, financial services, and telecommunications industries. Delphi will become part of SunGard's European Consulting Services business.

Delphi was founded in 1988 and delivers consultancy services and managed professional services to some of Ireland's largest financial services and telecommunications companies. With more than 140 staff and contractors, Delphi has two main operating divisions: managed professional services, which offers project management, business analysis and testing skills; and consultancy services, which offers outsourced project management and best practice services.

Martin Walsh, CEO of Delphi, comments: "Delphi's business has grown steadily over the last 20 years, mirroring the development of Ireland's financial services industry. With Dublin now a top-10 financial center for both insurance and asset management, we are well placed to attract greater business from international financial institutions. Becoming part of SunGard will help us to capture and capitalize on this business and give us international reach to sustain our growth."
