Paramus, N.J.-based insurance broker The NIA Group, LLC, said it has acquired the insurance agency Taylor Financial based in Jacksonville, Fla. Terms of the deal were not released.

NIA said Taylor Financial specializes in providing employee benefits and professional liability insurance solutions to businesses and health care providers located in Northeast Florida.

Taylor Financial's business complements NIA's South Florida client base, which includes a large roster of health care accounts and a full-service commercial and personal insurance services division, NIA said.

Chris Taylor, who founded his company in 1989, said in a statement that joining NIA would give its clients access to new insurance programs, especially property-casualty.

NIA said Taylor Financial marks the third acquisition it has made in the state.

NIA is a privately held brokerage firm providing insurance, risk management and employee benefits services through its 16 offices and over 400 employees in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Florida.
