The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New Jersey said its conference next month will focus on agency technology.
IIABNJ's meeting is scheduled for March 6 at the Sheraton at Woodbridge Place Hotel in Iselin, N.J.
The organization said it is bringing together a variety of national presenters to help agents understand the real-time revolution underway in the independent agency system. Real time provides a single workflow for servicing and quoting.
“What many agents may not realize is that new, expensive hardware or software is unnecessary as most features of real time are already available through their agency management systems,” said William H. Malone, IIABNJ chairman.
The full-day program includes the seminar “Real Time Technology: Why Real Time Tools are the Future for Agency Improvement of Customer Service and Agency Operational Efficiency.” The program has been approved for six New Jersey continuing education credits.
With the presentation, IIABNJ said, there will be discussions from insurance carrier representatives as well as demonstrations from agency management system vendors. The session will be moderated by Jeff Yates, executive director of ACT (the Agents Council for Technology).
The second program of the day, “The Power of Change,” will be presented by co-founder of the insuranceisfun.com Web site Chris Amrhein, of Amrhein and Associates Inc. He will review materials developed and published by ACORD and other industry partners to address the five steps toward successful completion of change in an organization's workflows.
Also scheduled is another round of “Insurance Jeopardy,” which IIABNJ said was popular at last year's event.
Individuals interested in attending this program may contact IIABNJ at 800-952-6948 or via e-mail at [email protected]. Information is also available by visiting www.iiabnj.org.
