The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers announced that Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala., who was scheduled to speak during the association's 2008 Insurance Legislative Summit has had to cancel his appearance.
Rep. John Tanner, D-Tenn., will replace Mr. Bachus and address member this Wednesday.
Mr. Tanner is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and a co-founder of the congressional Blue Dog Coalition.
