Guidewire Software, Inc., a provider of solutions for property/casualty and workers' compensation insurers, released Guidewire BillingCenter 2.0, a billing system for all lines of P&C insurance. BillingCenter currently is in production use and is being implemented at six Guidewire client sites.

The new version provides insurers of all sizes with a modern system for managing the end-to-end billing process. BillingCenter manages both agency and direct bill plans and accommodates the requirements of all lines of business. The system was developed in Java for the J2EE standard and shares a common platform with Guidewire's ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter systems. BillingCenter can be implemented as part of the Guidewire solution suite or integrated into an insurer's existing environment or with other new applications.

"We are proud of our BillingCenter solution and look forward to helping insurers transform their billing operations from a cost of doing business to a customer service and cost-saving opportunity," says Ken Branson, vice president, development, Guidewire Software. "Combining our experience in developing other Guidewire products with our use of Agile and "test first" methodologies has enabled us to bring a robust BillingCenter product to market quickly."
