The Conference Board, a not-for-profit business membership andresearch organization, has announced the launch of a newEmployer-Practices Locator, a Web-based database providing examplesof actions companies have taken to deal with an agingworkforce.

The organization said the Locator is part of a multifacetedprogram by The Conference Board on issues surrounding olderemployees.

It described the Locator as searchable by key word or companyname, with a database that selects, pulls together and summarizesmaterial from a variety of print and online sources from 1996 tothe present. It eliminates the need for searching multiplelocations to find promising practices, including case studiesdeveloped by The Conference Board, the group said.
