Aon Corporation said it has named John van der Steen chief commercial officer for Aon's Europe-Middle East Africa region, in charge of the company's diversity efforts for the region.
Mr. van der Steen will serve on Aon's global diversity advisory board, where he will join Randy Wada, chief executive officer of Aon Japan, who recently was chosen to lead the company's diversity initiatives for the Pacific Rim.
Jane Owen, chief counsel for Aon U.K., also joined the advisory board after she was named to lead the company's U.K. diversity strategy late last year.
