Ohio's attorney general filed a suit against Marsh & McLennan Companies brokerage operation and four insurers for conspiring to violate the state's antitrust laws.
An MMC spokesman called the lawsuit a rehash of charges brought originally by New York authorities in 2004 and concluding with a settlement in 2005.
Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann filed a 44-page complaint yesterday in the Court of Common Pleas in Cuyahoga County accusing the New York-based services company's brokerage arm Marsh of conspiring with insurers to violate the state's antitrust laws.
