State insurance legislators have passed a resolution that continues their push to open the locked-door sessions of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
The action came at the recently concluded summer meeting in Seattle of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators, where a measure was adopted "opposing certain executive sessions of public policy officials."
The resolution was a reaction to reports of the NAIC, Kansas City, Mo., holding some of its meetings in closed sessions and not allowing state legislators to attend or participate.
