Integro Insurance Brokerage said it has hired attorney Ian Ullman, who assisted Marsh Inc. in settling misconduct complaints brought by the New York Attorney General's Office, to head its compliance efforts.

New York-based Integro said it has named Mr. Ullman the firm's chief compliance officer and risk manager. The firm said he is to work with senior management to enhance business efficiency and client service, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and address the firm's insurance needs.

Mr. Ullman served as litigation counsel for Marsh for seven years. He served as lead attorney on several of the regulatory investigations that followed Marsh's settlement with Mr. Spitzer.
