National Underwriter is seeking entries for a new national awardprogram to recognize companies that do an outstanding job managingtheir workers' comp risks.

The “NU Award For Excellence In Workers' Compensation RiskManagement” is being run in cooperation with the Workers'Compensation Educational Conference (at which NU presents anational trends program).

A representative from the risk management departments of threecompany finalists will win a trip to Orlando to attend the WCECfrom Aug. 12-15, where the winner will receive a trophy, while theremaining two finalists are given a plaque for an HonorableMention.

The workers' comp risk management programs of all three companyfinalists will be individually profiled in the Aug. 13 edition ofNU. In addition, the finalists will discuss their award-winningprograms at a special “NU Roundtable” during the WCEC nationaltrends program. Highlights will be printed in our Oct. 8edition.

Agents and brokers as well as insurance carriers and third-partyadministrators are welcome to nominate worthy candidates for theaward.

The award is being sponsored by the National Council onCompensation Insurance, based in Boca Raton, Fla., to supportexcellence in the field among workers' comp buyers.
