A.M. Best this week affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of "A-plus" for regional property-casualty writer ACUITY.

"Over the last five years, ACUITY has produced strong operating results driven by underwriting discipline, technology advances, pricing controls, lack of severe weather and a favorable business environment," the agency wrote. "As a result, ACUITY's operating results have significantly outperformed the industry composite."

ACUITY, based in Sheboygan, Wis., is a regional property and casualty insurer that operates in sixteen states, writes over $800 million in premium through 750 independent agencies and manages $2 billion in assets.
