The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New Jersey said its online property-casualty insurance pre-licensing course has received approval from the New Jersey Department of Banking & Insurance.
Regulations in the past only allowed classroom courses, but recent regulatory changes by the department now allow agents to take courses online.
Students will have up to one year to complete the course which is estimated to take 20 hours for the property portion and another 20 hours for the casualty portion.
