Mark Henderson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Lockton Companies insurance brokerage, will be a speaker at the Indiana State University College of Business’ insurance and risk management program.
Presenting at the university’s “Leader in Action” series, Mr. Henderson will address students taking a course in catastrophe and risk management, and will also attend a reception, dinner and presentation with members of the national collegiate actuarial, insurance and risk management society, Gamma Iota Sigma.
“These exchanges build long-term bridges with our industry partners, which will, in turn, provide timely, cutting-edge education for our students and countless opportunities for those students and the company representatives to network,” said Mary Ann Boose, professor and program coordinator for the IRM Program at Indiana State.
The Leader in Action Series was created to bring top industry executives and leaders in insurance to campus to share their time and talents with students, faculty and the community, Ms. Boose noted.
Lockton, based in Kansas City, Mo., lists itself as the world’s largest privately held insurance broker. The firm has participated in campus events before by hosting students over spring break in its London office as part of a course and by sponsoring charity events and the Gamma Iota Sigma Career Expo.
