Claims News Service, August 30, 9:15 a.m. EDT — Guy Carpenter’s Instrat unit, which provides regular updates on major natural and man-made catastrophes that are likely to incur a significant loss to the insurance and reinsurance industry, has updated its report on Tropical Storm Ernesto.

Ernesto made landfall over the Florida Keys at around 11:30 p.m. EST yesterday evening before making a second landfall in south-west Miami-Dade County at around 2:00 a.m., the National Hurricane Center said. Maximum sustained winds at the time of landfall were 45 miles per hour.
