Claims News Service, Aug. 10, 10:22 a.m. EDT — Insurance Services Office, a provider of data, analytics, and decision-support services to the insurance, finance, real estate, health services, government, and human resources fields, has acquired Xactware, an estimation software and service provider to the property insurance, remodeling, and restoration industries.

According to ISO, Xactware, whose products were used to settle many claims from the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons, will continue as a stand-alone organization serving its U.S. and Canada property insurers, contractors, and service provider customers at its current headquarters in Orem, Utah.

“Xactware enhances ISO's ability to deliver more comprehensive products and services to our property insurance claims customers,” said Frank Coyne, ISO chairman, president, and chief executive officer.
