Aon Consulting, part of Aon Corporation, a provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital and management consulting, and specialty insurance underwriting, has formed a corporate strategic intelligence unit. The unit is part of the corporate investigative services group.

According to the company, the intelligence unit will provide law firms, corporations, governmental entities, and nonprofits with research and intelligence that can be used for competitive intelligence and due diligence. The unit also will conduct anonymous Internet investigations.

“Organizations are vulnerable to a certain degree of risk in almost every proposed deal or transaction with which they are involved,” said Robert W. Huff, global leader of the corporate investigative services group.
