AMS Services, a provider of software solutions for the insuranceindustry, announced the acquisition today of BCF Technology Inc., aprivately-held insurance software and services provider based inNorth Carolina.

Prior to the acquisition, BCF Technology and AMS Services had amultiyear partnership involving collaboration on the technologywithin AMS product lines, said Bothell, Wash.-based AMS.

The company added that the acquisition strengthens AMS Services'ability to provide connectivity solutions to agents andcarriers.

|

AMS declined to give any details of the deal, which was madefinal July 7.

|

BCF Technology's suite of insurance industry solutions allowscarriers and agents to conduct real-time transactions across bothnew and existing technology platforms.

The technology permits broad carrier-agent connectivity, notedAMS. BCF Technology initiatives have ranged from developing custom,single-carrier solutions to standards-based, multicarrier solutionsthat can be extended across the entire industry.
