Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group announced today that immediately following the report of its interim results Jim Rush will replace George Stuart-Clarke as finance director.

The London-based insurance broker said Mr. Rush joins JLT from Jardine Matheson Group (the Asian-based conglomerate) where he has held various senior roles including, most recently, group treasurer.

Mr. Rush was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers for a period of 12 years.

JLT said Stuart-Clarke will leave his post on the board but will remain a member of the group's executive committee and become responsible for special projects, reporting directly to Chief Executive Dominic Burke.

JLT operates out of more than 100 offices in over 30 countries and employs more than 5,000 staff.

Geoffrey Howe, JLT chairman, said that Mr. Rush brings with him an existing knowledge of JLT and “a good understanding of business in the Asia Pacific region–a region of the world which today represents a significant part of the JLT Group.”

JLT is a risk management adviser and insurance and reinsurance broker as well as a provider of employee benefits administration services and related consultancy advice.
