Claims News Service, April 18, 11:47 a.m. EDT — Claims Training Services, an educational organization for claim adjusters and other insurance industry professionals, is offering a new class, “Good Faith: A One-Day Course on Bad Faith Avoidance.”

The course was designed to assist adjusters in minimizing bad faith exposure, as adjusters' claim-handling practices and decisions sometimes become the subject for bad faith allegations and lawsuits.

Participants will learn in the course to define bad faith, identify adjuster behavior that could turn into a bad faith claim, recognize fact patterns of bad faith claims, hone their claim documentation skills, develop conflict-of-interest avoidance strategy, and examine best practices.
