Assurex Global said brokers in Australia, Switzerland and Austria have been added to its network.
The Columbus, Ohio-based brokerage group has more than 130 independently owned insurance brokerage partners throughout the world, accounting for annual premiums of $21 billion.
The firms added to the group are: OAMPS Insurance Brokers, Ltd. in East Melbourne, Australia; GWP Insurance Brokers headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland; and Assurance Partners Versicherungsmakler-und beratung GmbH in Vienna, Austria.
Assurex Global also named several new members to its International Executive Committee, which oversees the selection and ongoing evaluation of independent brokers outside of North America and advises the board of directors on international strategy.
Appointed were :
o Jan R. Bednarz of MJ Insurance Inc. in Indianapolis.
o Peter Bergman of EDP Assurance AB in Gothenburg, Sweden.
o Robin Harman of HSBC Insurance Brokers, Ltd. in London.
o David J. Kohl of Roach Howard Smith & Hunter Inc. in Dallas.
Raymond Sit, HSBC Insurance Brokers (Asia-Pacific) Limited, in Wanchai, Hong Kong, was elected to a second term.
