Lexington Insurance Company, a subsidiary of AmericanInternational Group Inc., has opened a new online site to provideinformation to professionals carrying architects and engineers(A&E) liability insurance.

The new Web site, www.lexaehelp.com, was created to provideinsureds with access to ongoing education modules, contractualinformation and legal information resources.

“Because of the specialized liability concerns of architects andengineers, we created www.lexaehelp.com to give our A&Einsureds resources specific to their field–including online classesthat satisfy state requirements–to assist in mitigating risks andliabilities,” said Kevin Kelley, chief executive officer ofLexington, in a statement.

A free service for Lexington's and New Hampshire InsuranceCompany's A&E insureds, the site provides architects andengineers with a multitude of risk management and educationalresources, ranging from legal information resources to certifiedonline education. Included on the Web site are complimentarycontinuing education modules.

The classes are approved by the International Association forContinuing Education and Training and satisfy the continuingeducation credit requirements needed for architects and engineersto retain state licenses.

Class offerings will include construction phase risk managementissues, dispute prevention, how to minimize liability in alitigious environment, public project procurement, managing clientexpectations and tax planning issues. New course offerings will beadded periodically, according to Lexington.

The site also has a large section on contracts.
