A new survey rating the effectiveness of various corporateinvestor relations has ranked Allstate first among insurancecompanies in the property-casualty sector.

Northbrook, Ill.-based Allstate was put at the top of the listby both buy-side and sell-side analysts, according to InstitutionalInvestor, which said its findings were based on the views of 1,127buy-side analysts, portfolio managers and sell-side analystsrepresenting the leading securities firms and institutionalinvestors.

The survey asked for nominees to the list based on the mostimportant attributes used to evaluate the effectiveness of investorrelations communications.
